At Go Geronimo we offer various sports opportunities for the foundation stage and Keys stages 1,2,3 and 4. We can offer these programmes before, during and after school with no cost to the school whatsoever.
If you need PPA Cover or PE support, our schemes cover all aspects of the PE curriculum and include invasion games, striking and fielding, net/wall, gymnastics and dance from foundation stage upwards.
But PPA and PE support are just part of a wider range of services that we offer. We also liaise with schools and local authorities to implement a choice of after school clubs for all ages. Once again, a big selection of sports and activities are on offer including football, street dance, gymnastics, dodgeball, tennis, hockey, basketball, and many more.
All of our coaches are fully qualified, enhanced DBS checked and attend annual first aid and safeguarding courses. All our coaches are full trained by Go Geronimo and are subject to termly assessments and session evaluations.
Along with the lessons, we provide all lesson plans. All our lesson plans are set out at the national curriculum standard.
We recently surveyed over 100 primary and nursery schools in order to establish what the average spend on PPA cover is. The results showed that using one of our fully qualified sports coaches instead of a teacher or TA not only means that the PE curriculum and PPA are covered by specialist coaches but it also frees the teacher or the TA up to use their time more productively elsewhere.
In addition, this reduces costs by on average £300.00 per month, saving time on lesson planning and enhancing the school’s sports provision.
Curriculum time lessons make up the bulk of our work in schools throughout term time. We are asked by the schools to provide a yearly sports plan, which runs in conjunction with The National Curriculum.
